Wales - April 3 2016

So we took the Irish Ferry from Dublin Port allllll the way over to Wales:

"We" includes Lu, Breno, Rodolfo, Jailson, and ME. (Just some of my favorite housemates!! I hope the others aren't reading this...)

We had to be at the port by 7am and I think it departed shortly after 8am. Inside was HUGE. It has like 7 floors and the bottom two is full of cars and trucks. There was even an arcade and a mini theater (they were showing Hotel Transylvania 2).

This bus took us from the dock to the building where we show ID and officially enter Wales

So we went to Holyhead. Once we arrived, we went out to the streets and... didn't know where to go! We wanted to get to a lighthouse that we saw in several pictures so they asked this guy who was painting a building, but they couldn't understand each other! (Brazilians broken English and his accent weren't a good combination for them) haha So I came up and talked to him and figured out the way. Little did we know that it was going to be a hike literally around, up and over the mountain!

And then.... we finally SAW our destination!!! But still had like another 30 min to go.

After it started pouring on us for like 15 minutes... and then sun came out again... we finally made it. YAY!

SO many stairs down towards the lighthouse.... and we had to do them twice

They charged moneys to get onto the island so... we admired from afar. We found the visitors center, rested and got hydrated. I really really really did not want to make the long trek back over the mountain.... so I told everyone that we could just walk through the streets. (I actually didn't know if this would take us back, but there had to be a way for cars to get there right??) So I led the way to what I thought was the direction of where we were supposed to go. There weren't many signs so really I was just guessing.

It was absolutely beautiful and very peaceful walking through the countryside and then through the neighborhoods. (I'm confused as to why I did not take pictures of the neighborhoods....I apologize)

Guess what?! We made it back! I'm such a good navigator. We walked around the town a little bit and went back the port. Everything was closed so we couldn't go in anywhere. sad day. 

Once we boarded the ferry once more, we went into the theater (they were going to show some version of Peter Pan) so that we could fall asleep in the dark.... but then 5896 10yr olds piled in and would not stop talking! hahaha so we evacuated and found a quiet area. Lu, Rodolfo and I were hungry so we got some delicious dinner that they were serving, ate, and quickly fell asleep. (again, I find it strange that I did not take any pictures in here... maybe I was too tired or something) It was an exhausting day indeed. We were picked up by a transfer and arrived back to our abode shortly after midnight.
